Caldora is a visceral D&D 5.5e Actual Play series where magic is a volatile predator and absolute order is the ultimate tyranny. In the cooling shadows of the Obsidian Cradle, four exiles must decide if they are fuel for the machine or the architects of a personal rebellion.
Caldora is a world defined by the fundamental friction between absolute order and primordial chaos, where rigid systems strive to act as a stabilising "anchor" for a setting that was not built, but broken. This premise centers on personal agency against systemic pressure, following disparate exiles as they navigate the volatile space between absolute control and the unpredictable, elemental forces of a world in collapse.

Our inaugural campaign kicks off in the Obsidian Cradle, a nightmare warren of twisting passages built atop itself. Forced together by a masked broker and crushing blood debts, our party isn't stealing gold—they are carrying the contraband of a broken world out of the city and into the hazardous Unmade Lands.

Known to players as ‘Boo,’ Calvin is the primary Creator and Designer of Caldora and its bespoke mechanical systems—from the biological Wyrd-Ink to the unique Subclasses & Species. As the creative lead for ForgeWild, he acts as the "narrative therapist weaver," personifying every NPC and serving as the "world character" that reacts viscerally to player choices. With nearly 30 years of creative experience, Calvin uses his design background to ensure that the story is at the heart of every high-immersion session.
